LLLU: A (r)evolution for European Universities?

Consultation Seminar

LLLU: A (r)evolution for European Universities?

One year after the initial start, the ALLUME consortium has produced 10 case studies and drafted guidelines which aim at supporting Higher Education Institutions to become real Lifelong Learning Universities. During the consultation seminar we would like to discuss with you and other experts in the field the relevance and impact of identified key issues and the draft version of the guidelines.

The consultation seminar will be held in Brussels, at the Convention Center of the Flemish Ministry of Education, Wednesday 22nd of September 2010, 9.30 - 16.00, and will be followed by a debate that will discuss the outcomes of the ALLUME project from a stakeholder perspective. We would like to ask every participant to contribute to our discussion, providing a future perspective on how LLL as a basic principle and paradigm shift can change and challenge the Higher Education Area in Europe.

The objectives of this event (please find attached the preliminary agenda) are focused on the following aspects:

  • Presentation of the projects preliminary results
  • Discussion of key issues from the collected case studies in working groups
  • Collection of recommendations for the further development of guidelines
  • Taking into account the broader stakeholders perspective on LLLU

We are inviting to this seminar:

  • Representatives of European Institutions
  • Representatives of European Higher Education networks
  • Representatives of European social partners
