The FLLLEX project

The FLLLEX project (The Impact of LifeLong Learning Strategies on Professional Higher Education) is an EU funded project in the framework of the Transversal Programme, Key Activity 1. It has started on the 1st of January 2010 and will run until 31st of August 2012. It focuses on the development of a self-assessment instrument for HEIs. Our partnership is particularly aimed at institutions with profession-oriented bachelor degree programmes. Nearly all of those institutions are regionally well-embedded or strive to do so. The regional (national) context is thus of most importance to them. FLLLEX has delivered a report on the translation of EU policy on LLL into national policies. This ‘policy hooks’ may help HEIs on their strategy for LLL. Through surveys of businesses, other training providers and learners, we attempt to devise an instrument that stimulates HEIs to take all these elements into account.

The FLLLEX project will present its final findings in 10-11 May 2011 in Riga. Please, keep yourself updated via our website: www.flllex.eu.
